PUNK RAVE STORE REVIEW!

Hey everybody!

Yes yes yes, who knows how long has it been...! I've been busy af, so I decided to put the blog aside for a while.

BUT I'm bringing you a punk comeback that's gonna make your jaw drop!

So, a few weeks ago one of the brands I admire the most; PUNK RAVE contacted me to do a collaboration, and I'm here to tell you my review of the items they sent me! 🔥

They kindly sent me three pieces: a gothic trench jacket, a pair of leather spiked jeans, and the most BADASS accessory of all time, their spiked military-like mask (or so they call it)!

Something that I need to say right away is that the pictures on the website do not make justice for the clothing. Don't get the wrong, the pictures of their lookbook look amazing, but you can barely see the pieces, so there's always that little doubt if they actually look like what we're thinking. Truth is: they look WAY BETTER then what they do on the website!

Starting with the jacket - I though that it was way more simple than what it actually is! The jacket is partially full leather, and some other parts are shiny almost suede-like texture, and it's the perfect combination if you're looking for something goth but fit! For some reason, I can totally see myself wearing this at a formal event. The small zip at the from makes the most flattering cut to your enhance your curves, as it makes the waist look smaller.
What I love the most about this jacket is the small details. It has outstanding shoulder pads with small spikes (serving badass royalty, hello??), the gorgeous big goth buttons are connected with little thin metal chains that add the most interesting detail rather than just being a small sew. And the zipper has a KILLER skull on flames! Is there anything more badass than this? I don't think so! 🔥

About the jeans - firstly, who doesn't like leather jeans? I've been wearing them for years and this is probably the most beautiful pair I've ever seen! They really do pay attention to the details. So as you may know, I'm not really a big fan of metallics, but these guys decided to add a copper shade in the center of the legs and it looks A-FUCKING-MAZING! I never thought something like this would look so good, plus you get to choose between copper and silver! And obviously, my favorite detail are the knee pads! Oh... Good... LORD! More spikes?! This is HEAVEN! Plus, when you open the small zip there's fishnet underneath! *Okay, I'm officially deceased! See all o'y'all bitches in Hell*. Something that also really completes everything is that zipper all long the leg. It has a pad on the inside, so you really just feel it around the ankle, but other than that they're very comfortable and absolutely flattering.

And last but not least, the mask! - Oh the mask... It's the most perfect accessory ever! It has small buttons on the sides, so it makes it really easy to put on and off. The vertical line of spikes are what makes it look badass as hell, and it f*cking looks good when you put it on! It has a really intimidating look. I'm pretty sure no one's gonna mess with you if you wear outside - which I totally will! It's the perfect thing to use to protect you from the cold ass wind!

Overall, all the items are amazing! They are indeed as cool as they look online, and they look amazing while wearing!
Totally worth the hype! Love them a lot!

GEO LENSES REVIEW

Hey everyone!

F*ck yes I know, I've been away for a bit too long again! Damn!
I got so many new on collabs and projects, BUT I bring you updates! Geo Lenses have kindly sent me two pairs to review!

Let's start with the top picture. Those are a Geolica Euro Lady Pearl Gray pair, a soft light grey colored pair that look hella realistic and natural! This is a pair I easily wear every day! I'm a naturally medium light eye colored gal, but these definitely make the color pop out a lot! I've had people telling me both "wow your eye color is stunning" and "those contacts totally give you a cat-eye look" (BAM, slay it gurl),so you can only notice the contacts if you look at them super closely.

Now to the bottom picture. Those are a Geo Angel Grey CM-835 pair, a dark grey pair that will definitely spice up your look! I am very fascinated with these, they make the eyes seem a bit darker but unusual at the same time - in a good way! The thick line around it gives you that dark doll look, which is PUR-FECT if you have a bold heavy style like I do! When you firstly look at them they seem as if you have (almost) black eyes, but once you give it a second glance you start to notice that hypnotic grey tone and you just won't be able to stop looking at them!
Also, let me tell you I'm releasing a make up tutorial of this look soon on the YouTube channel!

One thing I need to say about both of them is that they're 100% comfortable as HELL. I don't feel them at all, and I've (wrongly) worn them over 8h. They don't dry up, and they definitely don't bother a thing! It's just f*cking amazing! Plus, they both come with a super cool case!

Let me just take the time to say they're having a SUMMER SALE!
Use the code GEOSUMMERPM from 13th-28th June! :)

RUNNING A SOCIAL EXPERIMENT BASED ON EMOTIONS

Hi everyone.

So as a project for a Master's discipline, I'm running a social experiment about emotions.

Here's what I did!
Gesichtsausdruck/Gefühl is a social experiment where all subjects are sitting on a chair, in the exact same position, under the exact same light, without being aware of the purpose of the session.
One picture is taken, after a few minutes in an uncomfortable silence.
The purpose is to capture the essencial emotion that every person is going through.
I asked these people (also known as friends) to sit on a chair and "wait until I'm done with regulating the camera settings". They sat down, intrigued with the whole thing. While I was "setting the camera ready" they were left there, and their emotions emerged almost immediately.
The picture captures the subjects all the way to the knee, and for a simple reason: your posture tells more about you than you can imagine. At first everyone sat straight. A few minutes later they let loose, and started unconsciously sitting in the way they actually felt like sitting.
Even though they're all facing the same way, in the same position, under the same light, and were given the exact same instructions, all results are surprisingly different.
Same expression. Different emotion.

You can find the final result here:

Send me your thoughts about it!

MY INTERVIEW FOR 6 PINS IN A SHOE!

Hi everyone!

Before I start writting anything, happy new year!! I hope you had a blast of a time!

So let's start the year the best way shall we?
A little bit more than a month ago, this super sweet full of style girl sent me a lovely message on lookbook, regarding an interview! And I immediately said yes, of course! She sent me a bunch of questions I was extremely pleased to answer! And, as my huge surprise, she released it on the January 1st!

Here's the link If you're interested in reading it:
http://marylovesthat.blogspot.pt/2016/01/interview-with-beatriz-mariano-reckless.html

This is my second interview of all time, the first one was for Central Magazine by Central Models, and as curious as this might sound, even though the questions were not exactly the same, I had the same nervous joyful feeling of having someone interested in sharing my personal experiences and stories! This is such a rewarding feeling! And, as you can assume, I was extremely pleased with the final result!

So go ahead and and take a look at her blog and all of her other previous interviews (send her some love as well, will ya?)!

And, if you've read it, leave me a comment with your opinion! I would love to read your thoughts about it!
